In light of the war in Israel:
Times like these bring pain, fear, and many questions. Because of the current situation, we’ve expanded our service – to be here for every Hebrew speaker in Europe, every evening. No matter where you are – there’s someone to talk to.
Here for you, in Hebrew.
You’re not alone, because we listen and give support in Hebrew to anyone who chooses to call us, regarding any topic. The calls are anonymous and you are welcome to share everything and anything you choose. 'Matan' - listening and support hotline in Hebrew, free of charge and available on every day of the week between 20:00 and 22:00 in the evening.

When should you reach out?

When it’s hard. When you feel lonely. When your heart or mind feels overwhelmed. When you can’t sleep at night, when the thoughts won’t stop. When you feel alone – or simply need someone to listen to you, without judgment. You don’t need a “big crisis” to reach out. We’re here for the small things that feel big, too.

What can you expect when you reach out?

  • A listening ear – in your own language: Hebrew.
  • A safe space to talk, anonymously.
  • Volunteers who are trained – and truly know how to listen.
  • Initial emotional support – no pressure, no commitment, at your own pace.
  • Guidance on where to turn if more help is needed.

Please note: Talking to us is not a substitute for professional therapy – but it might be the first step toward feeling a little less alone.

Who are we?

Matan is run by volunteers living in Germany. Our volunteers go through in-depth training and are supported by a professional team of psychologists and social workers. We’re here for you – because no one should have to go through this alone.
